In today's meeting contracts planners and suppliers protect themselves with so many detailed provisions written in hard-to-understand Legaleze that there are almost too many to focus on. The result is that some critical clauses don't receive the attention they deserve during negotiations - and others are overlooked entirely. This session will explore the most misunderstood bur critical contract clauses.
1) Review the essential risk management provisions in meeting contracts, with a new understanding of their meeting, the key words to look for, and how the provisions can be revised to better protect your organization.
2) Create a "force majeure" clause tailored to the particular needs of your organization and the risks that your attendees face when deciding whether or not to travel to your meetings.
3) Replace old and obsolete contract clauses with new provisions that meeting the challenges and threats associated with meetings in 2015 and beyond.
