Dear VAMPI Member:
Welcome to the 2010-2011 VAMPI year! The summer is off and running and your new VAMPI Board is ready to serve you.
It is truly my privilege to serve this chapter as your new President. I have been a long time member and enjoy all of the interaction that I have experienced with our amazing members! Our chapter continues to be one that remains strong and is dedicated to this fabulous industry. We have certainly had our challenges with a changing economy but are very fortunate with the members and opportunities that we continue to receive. Collectively we are a group of hard working individuals who enjoy the education, networking and event life-long friendships that this chapter provides.
As for the Virginia Chapter of MPI we are thrilled to kick-off another exciting year. All of our Board members are anxiously working to determine better ways to serve your needs and propel the chapter forward. The Education Committee is fiercely working to continually provide top notch educational offerings while the Membership Committee is striving to assist the needs of new, current and potential members. Simultaneously our Communications Committee is working with social media to increase our exposure in cyberspace and create an additional “buzz” for all that we have scheduled during this year. Meanwhile, our Finance Committee is looking at new partnerships, advertising opportunities and marketing that will benefit not only our chapter’s bottom line but also provide additional opportunities for our members.
Going forward we will continue to move and change in order to keep up with the needs of our dedicated members. It will be very exciting to see how these efforts build our chapter during my term as President. Please know that I am here to serve your needs as is the entire Board.
