VAMPI, like all membership organizations, depends on the dedication of its members to the Chapter. Our Committees perform a great deal of the work for the Chapter, and offer
every member an opportunity to contribute to the organization. If you have any questions, would care to make any suggestions, or would like to volunteer to serve on a committee, contact the committee chair or VAMPI. For detailed information on the responsibilities of each committee, click here.

Ambassador
This committee assigns each new member to a veteran member who can help introduce them to the Chapter and the opportunities the Chapter can provide them. This committee also develops criteria for, and selects the winner of, the Chapter scholarship.

Awards & Recognition
This committee determines what awards will be given each year; develops and publicizes criteria for winning the awards; selects winners of each award; and plans and promotes the Annual Awards Banquet.

Certification
This committee provides information on and encourages members to pursue a CMP designation. It also helps potential applicants form study groups.

Community Service
This committee helps determine charitable events and groups for the Chapter to work with that fit with the goals of the chapter and allow members to be involved in a variety of ways. Chair: Position vacant.

Education - Conference
This committee plans and executes the annual educational conference.

Education - Forums
These committees are responsible for organizing, and promoting to the membership, a series of local monthly meetings. Current Forums are being held in Richmond and Tidewater, and a quarterly forum has started in Charlottesville. Contact VAMPI for more information.

Membership Fulfillment
This committee works to develop ideas and methods of serving the membership more effectively in order to increase member satisfaction and retention.

Membership Recruitment
This committee develops new member leads and generates interest in the Chapter among those prospective members.

Newsletter
This committee assigns articles to be written by committee chairs and members, and works with the management company to lay out and edit the newsletter.

Public Relations
Through the distribution of press releases, the committee works to increase awareness of the organization among the general public.

Sponsorship
This committee works to develop advertising and sponsorship ppportunities across all areas of the Chapter, from the newsletter to the Educational Conference, and promotes these opportunities to potential sponsors.

Ways & Means - Fundraising
This committee identifies, evaluates and executes ideas to raise money for the Chapter. Major responsibilities include developing and organizing the Basket Auction in December and the annual Silent Auction.
